Internship Eligibility:

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months of the start date of the internship for which you are applying for OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program. Note: Once you have completed one consecutive year of employment on a Disney internship or program, there must be a minimum 6 month gap before the start of a new internship or program

Job Description Spanish Public Relations Internship 2019 

Disney Destinations is comprised of five renowned resort locations around the world including Disneyland® Resort in California and Walt Disney World® Resort in Florida, and also encompasses the world-class Disney Cruise Line®, eight Disney Vacation Club® resorts and Adventures by Disney® (immersive Disney-guided travel around the world). This position is part of the Walt Disney World Content Relations PR team which is tasked with driving Disney messages through a broad range of domestic and international consumer and trade media including digital and social media.

Responsibilities A Day in the Life

·         Put your relationship skills to work by helping to support the international PR team’s efforts in Latin America, and supporting the needs of other markets, including Canada, United Kingdom, Japan and China – amongst others – as directed.

·         Utilize your partnering skills to help assist the PR Managers with:

o    Managing relationships and servicing on-property visits with consumer and trade media

o    Coordinating celebrity and character photos with Disney Photography

o    Participating in media FAMs and global media events

o    Writing, translating and editing press releases and photo captions

o    Creating and maintaining media-coverage summary reports:

Basic Qualifications You Bring

·         Previous reporting/writing experience with a student or professional publication in print, television or online media

·         Strong research skills and an understanding of how news media works in Latin America

·         Verbal and written fluency in Spanish

·         Proficiency with Associated Press (AP) writing style

  • Proficiency in MS Office
Preferred Qualifications ·         Previous experience as a Disney Cast Member or within the amusement industry

ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY: The Communications & Marketing office at USF Sarasota-Manatee is responsible for developing internal and external communications strategies to share the university’s story with the community, the region and the world. The department oversees advertising, messaging, branding, public relations, media relations, graphic design, video production, the university website, and official university social media channels.

POSITION SUMMARY: This position coordinates all digital marketing and communications efforts for the campus to help grow the awareness of strategic initiatives, programs and events. The person will help coordinate all major projects submitted to the Communications & Marketing office with a focus on external communications, advertising campaigns and event promotion. The coordinator oversees the official university social media accounts, works with the Director of Communications and Marketing to plan and implement advertising strategies, develops and maintains communications plans for email marketing and serves as a project manager for all major campaigns and projects.
