The position is non-paying, and the student must be able to earn credit hours for their time with us. The hours and duration of the internship are flexible to accommodate students who are returning to the Southwest Florida (Naples) area during the summer.

This is a fantastic opportunity for any student that desires to work in the journalism field or wants to become a writer. The intern will engage in several exciting components of the publication process, from fact-checking to writing stories. This experience is ideal to add to their resume.

Summary Statement

The Florida State Office of AARP is recruiting for a paid communications intern to support their team. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills while working for the largest social mission organization in the country.


As a Communications Intern with AARP, you will have the opportunity to:

Assist in executing state communications plans, preparing communications products, providing digital, social-media and graphics support to the Communications team and other internal clients, monitoring and maintaining web sites, and performing other communications-related functions as assigned by the Communications Manager;

Assist full-time staff with projects as assigned;

Perform miscellaneous office duties as assigned;


Interns must be currently enrolled in a degreed program at an accredited college or university; maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0; and be considered anundergraduate junior or senior.

Palm Beach Post seeks spring semester paid photojournalism intern

The Palm Beach Post is offering a 16-week paid internship in photojournalism from to January 17 to April 28, 2017.
The salary for the internship is $475 / week, which does not include room, board or transportation. We are always happy to help you find a place to live in the area. We supply camera equipment and pay for mileage.
This is an advanced internship in which you will be producing photo and video stories for our websites and social media channels as well as daily photojournalism for all sections of the newspaper. You must be a good journalist who can gather accurate facts, quotes and information for your visual report.

Trifecta Team PR is providing the opportunity for select college students (majoring in PR, Journalism, Mass Comm, Sports Management and related majors), to gain valuable on-the-job experience by being part of our Bowl Week and Game Day staffs for the Miami Beach Bowl and St. Petersburg Bowl.

The Miami Beach Bowl game will be played Monday, Dec. 19, 2016 at Marlins Park in Miami, Fla. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m.

The St. Petersburg Bowl game will be played Saturday, Dec. 26, 2016 at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla.  Kickoff is set for 11:00 a.m.

Success Sciences is currently looking for voice talent to record short vignettes for training simulations. The ability to authentically portray different ages, styles and dialects is a plus. Gulfside Hospice seeks community relations intern

Looking for an intern to help out in our Community Relations Department. Gulfside provides health care to those facing chronic and terminal illnesses in Pasco County.

 This would be an unpaid internship since we are a non-profit organization, and the intern would ideally work 10 – 15 hours per week at our office in Land O’ Lakes. They would be working directly under myself, and would be responsible for assisting with day-to-day office tasks, helping to plan and write social media posts and marketing emails, write press releases, design community and interoffice collateral, attending community events, maintaining a clip book of newspaper articles about Gulfside, and other miscellaneous office tasks.
