USF College of Arts & Sciences needs interns

CAS is looking for its next communications/technology, events, development, and marketing interns!

The USF College of Arts and Sciences Communication, Community, and Global Engagement Office is looking for creative students who are passionate about USF and the College of Arts and Sciences, and who want to make a lasting contribution to the college through: establishing effective communications and marketing initiatives, carrying out successful college events, and enhancing the college’s presence on our website and social media. If you thrive in a fast-pace environment, love learning new things, and are ready to apply your classroom knowledge to the real world, then we encourage you to apply.

We are accepting internship applications for Spring 2019. To apply, simply fill out the application form, provide a cover letter and résumé, and submit at least two writing samples, and/or design samples, or describe past events you have organized, or provide the URL to websites you have created. JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Responsibilities: Assist the communication, community, and global engagement office with:

  • Marketing efforts by writing press releases and feature stories, blogging, creating video messages, tweeting, and studying Facebook trends;
  • Technology work such as writing content for the website, archiving photos, and editing;
  • Participating in the organization, coordination, and logistical support for events;
  • Assist our development staff with outreach to alumni and donors, learn how to “brand” yourself, and network with college stakeholders.

Hours: 10-20 per week
Credit: Yes, subject to department approval
Pay: No, but you can enjoy free cake at the office birthday parties (Who doesn’t love cake?)
