The Depression Army is in Search of a Graphic Designer
Here is your opportunity to take your creative talent to the next level: Depression Army (DA), a growing international campaign designed to transform the conversation about depression via social media, is searching for a graphic designer to join our team ASAP. Participation is possible for internship course credit or as a volunteer.
You will work to translate our mission into visually engaging images that will be shared throughout our numerous social media outlets such as Twitter, Instagram, Tumbler, Facebook, YouTube, & our website at depressionarmy.com. Duties may include: digital art creation, photography, website layout, and newsletter design. DA is broadening depression awareness, increasing pride and self-respect among those who struggle, helping to bring people out of the shadows, and making people more aware of their strengths. With over 50K followers on Twitter (https://twitter.com/depressionarmy) and a spot on the ‘Top 30 Depression Blogs & Websites on the Planet’ (http://blog.feedspot.com/depression_blogs), our reach as an organization continues to grow.
As a graphic design intern at DA, you will enhance essential skills for future work at other companies and advertising agencies. You will coordinate with the existing internship team and the founder of Depression Army, Dr. Jonathan Rottenberg. You will be expected to contribute approximately 9hrs a week with a 1 year commitment. To apply, send a cover letter, CV, and a work sample to the project coordinator, Natasha Kurji, at firstname.lastname@example.org. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. We would love to have you join our team!
