Marketing & Community Relations Internship Opportunity

Gulfside Hospice & Pasco Palliative Care: Gulfside Hospice and Pasco Palliative Care is a non-profit organization that serves Pasco County residents facing life-limiting illnesses. Gulfside employs over 250 professionals and has more than 500 volunteers, and is the only hospice that serves Pasco County exclusively. Pasco Palliative Care serves Pasco County residents facing chronic illness, who are not hospice appropriate or still seeking curative treatment. Gulfside is proud to be the first hospice in Pasco County to receive The Joint Commission’s Seal of Approval Accreditation.

Internship Responsibilities: Gulfside is seeking an intern to assist with day-to-day tasks in the Community Relations and Marketing Department. The internship is an unpaid position that would require 10 – 15 hours per week.

Roles and responsibility of the intern include but are not limited to:  Assistance with planning and executing marketing campaigns  Planning, writing and posting social media posts  Designing and writing Constant Contact marketing emails  Designing community education and interoffice collateral using Adobe Suite programs  Attending and representing Gulfside at community health fairs and events  Assisting with planning and coordinating fundraising and employee events (creating collateral, designing advertisements, assisting with set up and break down, etc.)  Miscellaneous office tasks as needed

Requirements: Undergraduate student pursuing a degree in communication, marketing or public relations (preference will be given to juniors and seniors)

Experience in using Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop)

Knowledge of AP style and writing/editing skills

Ability to manage multiple projects; experience in using various social media platforms
